Honda Motorcycles is reviving its icons from the past. It has already introduced the Honda 300 Sahara and is now launching the more off-road version of the model, the XR 300 Tornado. Both motorcycles use the same base, but with specific modifications for each proposed use. The Sahara is more geared towards everyday use on asphalt and the Tornado is geared towards trail riding. But both are also good for all styles. The Honda Tornado and Sahara use the chassis of the CRF 250F, which is more robust, but the Tornado has very different suspension adjustments in terms of caster angle, trail, shock absorber travel, riding position and seat height. There was also modification to the 300cc engine, derived from the CB Twister, to reach 24.3 hp on gasoline and 24.8 hp on ethanol. The gearbox is a 6-speed and the ratio has also been modified. It has disc brakes on both wheels, as well as ABS and also received a very complete digital dashboard. The list price is R$27,690.00, which makes it an entry-level motorcycle for those who want to have fun on a trail on the weekend or even ride it every day, as it gets an average of up to 29.8 km/l. But is the new Tornado worth buying? Is it better than the Yamaha Lander or the Royal Himalayan?
