Imam Abu Hanifa al-Nu'man is a Muslim religious scholar and jurist who lived in the second century AH (eighth century AD) in Iraq. He was born in the city of Kufa in 1877, and grew up and learned Islamic sciences there. He also owned a cloth store. Abu Hanifa was known for his high jurisprudence and sobriety in judging and ruling, as he was considered one of the most famous jurists of that period. Imam Abu Hanifa al-Nu'man is considered the founder of the Hanafi school of thought, which is followed by Muslims all over the world. He is known for his interest in interpretation and renewal in Islamic jurisprudence. He was also distinguished by his keenness on justice and fairness in ruling, and is considered one of the most important jurists in the history of Islam.
