With Germany's defeat in World War II, it was suggested to erase Prussia from the map of Europe. Winston Churchill said that Prussian militarism was what led Hitler to power. Since this story is full of nuances and complexity, I decided to divide the documentary into two episodes. In the first, I talk about the origins of Prussia. To do this, we go back to the 13th century in central Europe, the site of many battles in the name of Christianity. Both the Prussian region and Berlin would be Christianized in the first half of this century. The first episode ends with the death of the greatest German monarch, Frederick II, more precisely in the year 1786. Until that date, Prussia had undergone significant political transformations, not to mention that it had been involved in decisive wars to join the group of the greatest military powers in Europe.
