Some toponyms that remember them have been preserved, others have changed or disappeared. The Ceahlău Monastery today continues the tradition of humble monastic life that began here, in the Ceahlău Hermitage, centuries ago, honoring the memory of the hermits who sanctified this mountain with every prayer. TOACA Peak Toaca Peak, at 1904 m, is the second largest in the Ceahlău Massif, after the Ocolașul Mare peak.
