In this video we were near Postbauer-Heng in the Neumarkt district in Upper Palatinate. From there we went to the Dillberg. The hike is about 12.2 km long, you overcome about 250 meters in altitude and the circuit can be done in about 3:30 hours of walking time. The tour started from the car park at the train station in Postbauer-Heng. We first went along beautiful forest and meadow paths in the direction of the town of Buch and after about three kilometers we reached the first highlight of the tour, namely the Buch Caves. The caves are artificially created caves that were dug into the mountain to extract sandstone. We continued a short distance up the mountain until we reached the summit plateau of the Dillberg, which is 595 m above sea level. The Dillberg transmitter is impressive here and can be seen from afar. Its highest transmitter mast measures 231 m. In addition to some great viewpoints, there is a lot more to discover here, such as the Path of Poetry. Our further route took us along beautiful forest paths and we made a detour to the Kaltenbach spring, which is well worth seeing. Finally, we returned to our starting point at the train station in Postbauer-Heng. Link to the hike: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/136...
