This time we went to the North Sea: Niklas (27) is a chef in Cuxhaven - right on the beach. He works as a chef in a 5-star hotel. There are various positions in the kitchen. Niklas works as a so-called entremetier, which means he is responsible for filling side dishes, vegetables, soups and vegetarian dishes. In addition, there is a saucier (responsible for meat and fish), a gardemanger (responsible for cold dishes) and a pâtissier (responsible for desserts) in the hotel kitchen. Everything is checked by the head chef. In our documentary we were able to accompany chef Niklas on his working day. Niklas first trained as a food technician, but in the long run this was too monotonous for him.
