Hamid Cicvara from Zenica has only recently received social assistance in the amount of 180 KM. He lives in a weekend house that he built himself for 11 years without electricity. It is true that his next door neighbor allowed him a free cable connection so he can watch TV and turn on the light. Hamid was declared disabled even before the war. He did not even serve in the army, but when the new government came to power, they allegedly canceled everything he received. Although he is 100% disabled, he has been able to register with the employment office for 39 years because of free health insurance. He has been married twice and his children are also at the employment office, so they cannot help him either. This cheerful man is a good soul but he lacks everything. He is quite witty and full of humor, so he often knows how to joke about himself. When the weather is nice, he visits garbage dumps and collects secondary raw materials, which he then sells to the scrapyard. For 39 years, this man lived without a single mark of regular income.
