In the gardening colony on Libeň Island, in the early 1990s, a group of friends, not very successful, but more or less satisfied outsiders in their modest world, meet in the small pub U Buddyho. The former dissident Tonda, who runs a pub with his son, the punk Jáchym, and his girlfriend Andula, the fisherman Láďa with his friend Franta, the timid Kája, Tonda's father Balun, Jáchym's girlfriend Bára and the former magician Mrklas, whose nickname is a corruption of his stage name Mr. Class. They play mariachi, experiencing life's small joys and setbacks, whether it's Káj's unpleasant wife Jíťa, the reluctance of others to play cards with Mrklas, or Tondo's worries about the thief Pep. But one day, they all come together to help Káj, who wandered into a large flea market and became the victim of a gang of shellmen who robbed him of his hard-earned savings. Mrklas, whom the unhappy Kája asks for help, invents a trap. However, he needs the help of all the regulars at Tondo's pub. He explains to them how the shell scam works and what his plan is. The self-proclaimed avengers enthusiastically take justice into their own hands and embark on a grand adventure.
