God's dwelling place is not only in heaven, but also here on earth. A temple was built in Jerusalem under the reign of Solomon. This temple was to be God's dwelling place on earth. Even though the full glory of God can never dwell in an earthly house, it was a special place where God revealed himself. People went to this house because they longed to experience a piece of God's glory. When Jesus lived on earth, God lived in him with all his glory. Jesus had a normal body like you and me. And yet: The glory of God lived in this body. When Jesus opened his mouth, people sensed that something was somehow different. Jesus was on his way to the people. Before, there was a temple in Jerusalem, but now there was a temple that was on its way to the people - Jesus. But God's temples are also all those who have been converted and reborn. They are people who have accepted Jesus as their Savior. All those who accept Jesus into their lives become children of God. So God now lives in every person who believes in Jesus. This means that every Christian is also a place of revelation of God's glory. When Jesus was on earth, he lived as Adam should have lived. He had dedicated his body to God. Jesus called on those who belong to him: Learn from me! His followers should emulate his example. We too should be completely dedicated to God. We should work for God's interests. What about your thoughts, your interests and your words? Have you devoted yourself completely to God? We are never better off than when we are very close to Jesus. Jesus wants to use us and we should be a blessing to others! Our lives are so short! God has given us our bodies as living instruments. We can use them to honor God. How sad it is when someone knows all this and yet goes their own way and does not ask for God's will!
