Rock de Galpão presents “Gaudêncio Sete Luas” by Luiz Coronel and Marco Aurélio Vasconcellos in front of the Angelopolitana Cathedral (Santo Angelo, RS). The song, which is part of the select group of works that most genuinely describe the musical culture of Rio Grande do Sul, is a narrative in the style of an opera, composed of ten songs that tell the stories of Gaudêncio Sete Luas. Awarded second place at the legendary Califórnia da Canção Nativa festival in Uruguaiana, RS, with a classic interpretation by Leopoldo Rassier, Gaudêncio Sete Luas was also recorded by artists such as Fafá de Belém, Almôndegas and many others. In Rock de Galpão’s version, the song is given a contemporary twist, while preserving the essence of the original work. The recording is part of the DVD Rock de Galpão vol. II - Ao Vivo nas Missões (2014), which had artistic direction by Hique Gomez.
