Can a job in garbage collection be a dream job? Every day we produce garbage and it has to be disposed of. That is what the garbage collection is responsible for. Working in garbage collection: a tough job Garbage collectors walk up to 25 kilometers every day. They lift heavy garbage cans onto the garbage trucks and are surrounded by dust and dirt. Anyone who works in garbage collection has to work in all weathers: rain, hail, heat and storms. On top of that, there are annoyed drivers who honk or push past the garbage trucks. Garbage collector - a dream job Tobias Krieg is one of them. He has been working for the waste management company in Stuttgart for five years. He got there by chance. He likes the physical work in the fresh air. A job in an office? That would not be for him at all. Tobias Krieg does not regret his decision to become a garbage collector. For him it is a dream job.
