[You can play at 1.25x speed if you like... ;-)] At the open city championship in Geldern, I encountered the Bowdler Attack by rearranging moves with the black pieces. My opponent offered the queens for exchange; however, a tactical opportunity arose shortly afterwards, even without queens. I would be happy to show you an introduction to the technique of calculating variations and the important concept of hanging pieces or semi-protected pieces. I will also repeat the topic of magic distance, or how you can dominate a knight with a bishop. My channel deals with opening repertoires for club players and those interested in chess. This series of short videos is aimed at club players who want to acquire a basic opening repertoire. The focus is on King's Pawn Openings, French and King's Indian. The selected variations are based on various opening books and online courses, but are in German and should therefore be understandable especially for young people, those returning to the game and seniors. I look at courses from Chessable, Chessbase, Chessemy, modern-chess and others in Lichess and Chessbase. I don't hold back on giving you concrete evaluations, but show you transparently how Stockfish assesses the positions in the latest version.
