Program about the tragedy Medea, by Euripides, written 431 years before Christ. The text is based on the myth of Jason, who in order to regain his father's throne had to obtain the golden fleece, but to do so he was subjected to several tests and had help from Medea, with whom he married and had children. When Jason abandons Medea to marry the daughter of the king of Corinth, he provokes the wrath of his wife, who is knowledgeable in medicines and potions. The tragedy tells the story of Medea's revenge, who kills Mario's new bride, her father and her own children. To talk about Medea and Euripides, Ederson Granetto interviews Professor Adriane da Silva Duarte, Professor of Greek Language and Literature at the Department of Classical and Vernacular Languages of the School of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences at USP.
