"A Varsovian by birth, a Pole by heart, and a citizen of the world by talent," wrote the poet Cyprian Kamil Norwid about him. He met Juliusz Słowacki in a Warsaw café. On the day of his first public concert, Zygmunt Krasiński made his literary debut. He became the hero of one of Honoré de Balzac's stories, and his lover was the famous writer George Sand. Let's take a look at the extraordinary life of Fryderyk Chopin and his turbulent era. He was not only a brilliant composer and a phenomenal pianist, but also a fascinating personality. He composed from the age of six and gave concerts from the age of eight. He supposedly sat on the lap of Grand Duke Constantine and played the piano for the Tsar. He enchanted Vienna and Paris. What family did he come from? Are we right in associating Żelazowa Wola with Chopin? Why did he rarely give public concerts? What made his music stand out?
