The unedited film sat in the attic for 35 years. The footage was blurry due to a defect in the camera. Against all hope, I kept dreaming that software could one day fix focus problems, and... well, now it can! Thanks, TensorPix! Your software (https://app.tensorpix.ai) was able to sufficiently restore focus to virtually all scenes shot from outside the train. Enough so that I had a basis for the rest of the work. The shots of the views from inside remain problematic, and I kept them very short in this edit so they don't have much time to creep into consciousness. It kind of works. I'm really, really glad to see the whole thing again now. The line has been history for over 25 years, and there is very little about this line on the internet. Pictures: yes. Moving pictures: hardly any. The line itself? One of the more unspectacular private Swiss railway companies. Mainly more flatland. A single track line running mostly alongside a busy road (similar to the Seethal line), it started in Wohlen, where freight traffic was important, passed through the small villages of Villmergen, Hilfikon and Sarmenstorf and ended on the outskirts of Fahrwangen. The actual destination, Meisterschwanden on the shores of Lake Hallwil, was never reached, although a station building was built there. This was probably the reason why the World Cup did not survive in the end. Oh well. What happened happened. It will never return, as practically everything has disappeared.
