On the occasion of the release by Athos Publications of Father Evangelos Papanikolaou's new book entitled From the Seas to the Jordan, Sofia Hatzi and a small group, who are taking care of the filming, visited Father Evangelos in his small, "blessed refuge" and talked with him about the Epiphany. As Father Evangelos says at the end of the conversation: "I was saying 'what shall we say?', but in the end... we said a lot!". The conversation, indeed, embraced many topics. The father, initially, urges us: "Baptize the children!". As his narrative unfolds, he brings to the fore a man who drinks ouza while the priest sanctifies the waters and throws the Cross into the sea. His story reminds us that the Epiphany is for each of us... God's work! Because, after Christ, the Epiphany is everywhere. At another point, Father Evangelos refers to a repentant actor and how he experiences the Epiphany. The discussion also touches on topics such as the cremation of the dead and ends in a scene reminiscent of Papadiamantis, with children coming to sing him carols and the father performing a trick on them with a vase.
