Neohori Evrytania: Where the Heart Beats Greek In the heart of our mountainous homeland, in the Agrafio mountains where time flows at a different pace, in Neohori Evrytania, we had an unexpected meeting where the alienated, loaded with memories and dreams, returned this summer as well , in their ancestral homes. Mr. Dimitris Kakavitsas, estranged for 57 years in distant America, met us and invited us to the party organized for this year's reunion of the estranged with his family, his friends and the traditions of his place. Among his close friends is the President of the Hellenic-American Union of Athens, Chris Spyrou. The reconnection of aliens with their place of origin is a complex and personal experience. Through their stories, the tradition and history of the place come to life, while at the same time, the conflict between the old and the new emerges.
