Hydro-Québec places great importance on the conservation of its built and technological heritage. Shut down in 2019, the Old Grand-Mère Generating Station on the Saint-Maurice River was equipped with the most powerful turbine-generator units in the country when it was commissioned in 1916. This heritage video features two employees' accounts of the plant's particularities and the daily life of its operation.
