In the 4th main episode of this season's Comida que Sustenta podcast, we discuss the diet of the elderly, from the perspective of wisdom, memories and challenges. In the program, we discuss the specific needs and challenges of this phase of life that occur in the aging process, which includes encouraging public policies aimed at healthy and sustainable nutrition in old age, instead of favoring speeches focused on food supplements of isolated nutrients, for example. For this debate, we spoke with professor Rita de Cássia Aquino, who is a nutritionist, PhD in Public Health and university professor, with Rosângela Marques, a cook at a charity kitchen in the South Zone of São Paulo, who brings touching stories about the elderly who frequent the kitchen, and we heard the memories of Marise Leão, a gastrologist, master in food science and technology and master swimmer.
