September 4, 2021, the sixth day of my big trip. Having repaired a non-working autonomous air heater in Pyatigorsk the day before, I finally went to the mountains. If the whole of August was sunny and hot, then by the time I arrived in the Caucasus the temperature had dropped sharply, almost the whole of September there were rains and cold weather. But when did that stop? Having filled up a full tank of summer diesel fuel in Kislovodsk, I went straight to an altitude of 2400 meters - Mount Kharbas was waiting for me, from where in clear weather a stunning view of Elbrus opens up!
