Peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings, dear ones, with a new episode of the stories of the prophets, where the light of monotheism shines in the darkness of disbelief, and the star of faith dispels the delusion of idols. Today we review the story of our master Abraham, the friend of the Most Merciful and the father of the prophets, who challenged his people in the land of Babylon, that land covered in the darkness of polytheism. Abraham rose with a heart that knew no fear, and delivered his speech calling for monotheism, smashing the idols of the people and declaring that God alone is the truth. We will follow in the footsteps of the noble Prophet of God, from the moment of the great challenge, when he was thrown into the fire to be a symbol of steadfastness and faith, to that dazzling miracle that saved him from the tongues of flame by the command of God, “O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham.” So how did Abraham confront that tyrannical king, Nimrod, and prove to him that faith in God is stronger than all tyranny? Come together in this great story, and explore the sublime meanings of faith that our master Abraham left us, a story that combines determination and patience, and tells us the meanings of eternal monotheism. It is a story from which we draw inspiration for steadfastness and trust in God, and contemplate the great miracles of God and the messages of the prophets that guide the hearts of people throughout time.
