There have been endless variations of roast beef with onions over the years - and each one has its merits - here is my favourite version approx. 400g sirloin (entrecote) approx. 250g onion 1 garlic clove 100g red wine 150g vegetable stock or beef stock 1 tsp pepper 1 tbsp marjoram 1 tsp salt 100g whipped cream 1 heaped tbsp lard/oil some flour and 1/2 tsp paprika powder for the onion rings
