It is 11:28 p.m. on July 14, 1995, when Brigitta Jacobi clocks out for the last time at her workplace in an industrial park in Sindelfingen. About half an hour later, the 35-year-old is dead, stabbed 23 times. Who murdered Brigitta Jacobi? Despite several eyewitnesses, this question remains unanswered for over a quarter of a century. It was not until 2020 that a former top manager was arrested who is said to have killed the Stuttgart woman at the time - and who is by no means a blank slate for the investigators. Did Hartmut M. actually kill the young woman? Were there other accomplices? And what other depths do the officers come across during their investigations? These and other questions are addressed in the new episode of our crime podcast "Akte Südwest". This time, our guest is reporter Dominique Leibbrand, who works in the Stuttgart office of Südwest Presse and has covered the case from the indictment to the conviction of Hartmut M. - and has also kept in touch with Brigitta Jacobi's relatives.
