FERRARA - The Estense Castle filmed with Sony a65 in 1080p. The Estense Castle is the most representative monument of the city of Ferrara and was built in 1385 as an instrument of political and military control. The first stone was symbolically laid on September 29, the day of San Michele, protector of city gates and fortresses and for this reason it is also known as the castle of San Michele. The castle's prisons, located at the level of the moat, are found in the basement of the Torre dei Leoni. The Este family locked up high-ranking figures or prisoners who needed special surveillance there, certainly not common prisoners who were held in the prisons of the Palazzo della Ragione. In some cells it is still possible to recognize some traces left by the inmates such as graffiti on the bricks of the wall. (wikipedia)
