Fatih Sultan Mehmet Khan was the seventh Ottoman sultan who reigned between 1432-1481. Fatih's father was Sultan II. Murat and his mother was Hüma Hatun. In addition to his sultanate, he was a scholar who had completed religious and scientific sciences, as well as a delicate poet and a sensitive person with a deep heart and a dervish spirit. He ascended to the Ottoman throne in 1451. He became the Conqueror of Istanbul in 1453. During his thirty-year reign, he abolished two empires, four kingdoms and eleven principalities with his superior efforts on the path of elevating the Word of Allah. He increased the lands of his homeland, which he inherited from his father as 880,000 km2, to 2,214,000 km2.
