It is Route 60 on the section that goes from the city of Tinogasta to the beautiful city of Fiambalá in the incredible province of Catamarca, Argentina. When it comes to history and culture, Route 60 stands out on this section for numerous reasons. To begin with, there are numerous buildings that are more than 300 years old. Secondly, the history that surrounds these buildings is part of our identity as Argentines. Lastly, the material with which they were built, adobe, is the key to understanding part of the lifestyle of our ancestors and of the current inhabitants of the Catamarcan Puna. Without a doubt, Catamarca is a province that deserves more attention and today, I invite you to travel back in time through these places that we are going to visit along Route 60.
