Ethiopia, a country of coffee that we meet across 10,000km across the sky. There is a couple, Kim Do-jin (51) and Kim So-hee (49), who have been teaching Taekwondo and Korean language for 9 years. The two were volunteers for the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Master Kim Do-jin, who wanted to spread Taekwondo overseas, was dispatched to Ethiopia after marriage and made a new nest. An Ethiopian girl who loves K-pop, Kvrt, met Do-jin and his wife and became ‘Dabin (26)’, and housekeeper Tgst was called ‘Sun-ha (23)’, completing a special ‘family’… . Life abroad is not going as planned. I packed my bags a hundred times out of frustration and homesickness, but now the couple has raised hundreds of students. Now, I have given too much of my heart to this land.
