General: Frequency converters with a voltage intermediate circuit generate a three-phase output voltage with variable frequency and amplitude from the single-phase or three-phase power supply network. They are mainly used as actuators for variable-speed three-phase drives. Frequency converters consist of an uncontrolled mains rectifier and an inverter. The following components are used on the test bench: universal converter and PWM characteristic curve control unit. A four-channel isolation amplifier is available for potential-free voltage and current measurement. Experimental objectives: • Application of turn-off power semiconductors (power MOSFET, IGBT) • Getting to know other components of a frequency converter (rectifiers, inductors) • Function of the single/three-phase pulse inverter • Modulation methods for three-phase pulse inverters Triangle sine modulation, space vector modulation, triangle square modulation, triangle trapezoid modulation • Voltage, current, power in the 3-phase system • Phase shifts between current and voltage Other films: Behavior of an inductance: • ELECTRICAL DRIVES - Inductors Rectifier with charging capacitor: • ELECTRICAL DRIVES - Rectifier
