On November 25, 2024, the main hearing after AROD's cannabis cafe was held. The defense disputed that the ban fulfilled a legitimate purpose and that the courts should ensure effective minority protection. After 60 years of a policy that has made things worse, it was time for the problem of arbitrary persecution and failure of leadership to be highlighted, and the independence of the courts was key to resolving a national trauma.
