The kids who are preparing to take the driving test often ask me questions, to try to understand how best to drive in order to obviously pass. Among the various questions are: can I do the whole test in second gear, so I never have to do downshifts? Or: can I always go slowly, at most 30 km/h? Get in the car with me, fasten your seatbelt, and let's go. In the top right rectangle you will see the speed I kept while driving. At the end of the video I will tell you if you can do the whole test in second gear and never going faster than 30 km/h. Even if you will probably already understand by yourself, watching the video, if it can be done or not. Let's go!! Try to be very careful and moderate your speed near intersections, even if regulated by a green light, and near pedestrian and cycle crossings. Even turns, especially if tight, should be taken at a speed that allows you to safely control the vehicle. Also be very careful of speed bumps, which I recommend you take at a speed no higher than 25/30 km/h. Let's do a quick recap. So far we have seen that if the road is quiet, therefore does not present dangers such as intersections, pedestrian crossings, cycle paths or other, we can also maintain a speed equal to the maximum or maybe just a little lower. Where there are intersections we will have to moderate the speed, even if they are regulated by a traffic light with a green light, perhaps on for a long time.
