The decision to unite the Roma of Ukraine through the revival of Christmas traditions was made in Transcarpathia. Here they recreated the only archaic schedrivka in the Romani language, which is little known in modern times, and for the first time they drove a fancy mare to bring prosperity and wealth to the houses of their fellow villagers in the new year. This allowed not only to give a holiday to children, but also to feel proud of the history of their people, who, despite persecution, preserved their language and honor traditions.
