The 16th Dresden Steam Locomotive Meeting took place in Dresden from April 12th to 14th. As every year, the event was organized by the IG Bw Dresden Altstadt. This year, an incredible 11 steam locomotives were counted in Dresden! The following locomotives were present: 01 1104 from Faszination Dampf 03 2155 from WFL 23 058 from EUROVAPOR 23 1097 from IG Traditionslok 58 3047 41 1144 from IGE Werrabahn 50 3501 from Meininger Dampflokverein 52 8079 from Leipziger Dampfkultur 52 8141 from Ostsächsischen Eisenbahnfreunde 58 311 from Dampfnostalgie Karlsruhe 77.250 from EUROVAPOR 434.2186 from CD Nostalgia An extensive program of special trips was offered. On Friday there was a fan trip with 58 311 (as 58 1111 - 2) to Straßgräbchen Bernsdorf, on Saturday morning with 77.250 to Dührrröhrsdorf, on Saturday lunchtime with 58 311 and 77.250 to Altenberg, on Sunday parallel trip with 23 1097 and 52 8079 on the Tharandter Rampe and on Sunday afternoon with 23 1097 to Löbau. On Saturday various special guest trains came to Dresden. 41 1144 with a special train from Cottbus, 03 2155 with a special train from Berlin, 01 1104 and 23 1097 with a special train from Staßfurt and from Würzburg a special train with 23 058 and 50 3501. I also paid a visit to the Dresden Park Railway. I would like to thank the organizer, the Bw Dresden Altstadt for the organization and all friendly clubs for the good execution of the meeting! It's great that it was possible to gather 11 steam locomotives in Dresden again in 2024!
