Door panels renewing old fabric Hi guys, in this video I'll show you how I cover my Golf 4 door panels / door panels with new fabric and contact adhesive. As vehicles get older, the fabrics on almost all vehicles eventually come off because the foam or the lining underneath dissolves. The same goes for many vehicle headliners. Here too, you can proceed as shown. It's important to note that if the fabric carrier is made of wood, acetone can be used to clean it, but if it's made of foam, definitely not (Golf 2 headliner, for example) because otherwise the foam will completely dissolve.
