"Perhaps my biggest mistake in life is that I lived in the criminal world, and after all I could have taken a different path - to be a businessman, to live honestly and honorably", - says today the Kaunas mafia veteran who spent half of his life behind bars and was sentenced to the harshest life sentence Henrik Doctor. In an exclusive interview with Delfi.lt journalist Dainis Sinkevičius, he told not only about why he still does not lose hope of going free, even though he and his wife Ramute decided to sell the famous pilot house in Užliedžiai, but also about his son Enrika, who has been avoiding communication with him for some time. H. Daktaras, who will celebrate his 66th birthday in December, who since 1978 led the "Doctors" criminal group, currently incarcerated in Pravieniški prison. The administration of the prison has no complaints about the convict - he not only communicates respectfully with the officers, but also actively participates in various activities, has repeatedly taken the Constitution exam, works as a worker in a wood and furniture workshop. The prison administration is even mediating so that the harshest prison sentence given to the convicted person is changed to limited imprisonment - they believe that he could be released in the future. This is H. Doctor's dream. "I would like to die in freedom: next to my children, grandchildren, I would like my death to be more honorable than here in prison, sitting in a cell among criminals - it is not worse than dying in prison," admitted H. Doctor. In this interview, H. Doctor talked not only about his life's mistakes, dreams, wife and children, but also revealed why he still admires the singer Jordana Butkute, and many prisoners like Egidijus Dragūnas from Sel.
