Located in the Lençóis region, but also in the Delta of the Americas, Tutóia is a region full of natural beauty. With beaches bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, the city has everything to be part of the itinerary of anyone who loves nature. About 322 kilometers from the capital of Maranhão, the city is part of the Parnaíba Basin, containing two main rivers: Barro Duro and Bom Gosto. Tutóia, in addition to all its natural attractions, is also one of the mandatory passes to the Rota das Emoções, which includes Jericoacoara, Delta das Américas and Lençóis Maranhenses. With this in mind, we selected places to visit and places to stay. The place is perfect for making good memories and photos. What to visit? With a total area of ​​2,700 km², Tutóia is in the Parnaíba Delta, the only open sea delta in the Americas. Where streams, mangroves, dunes, islands and islets can be found, a good opportunity to take advantage of the ecosystem that exists there. At the port of Tutóia it is possible to buy tickets to visit the Parnaíba River Delta. The price varies from R$80 to R$100. Located in the municipalities of Tutóia and Paulino Neves, the small Lençóis are another attraction in Tutóia. The place is full of small dunes up to 30 meters high and with freshwater lagoons. Around you, you can see a region full of natural beauty.
