Iansã (also known as Oiá or Oyá) comes from the name of the river in Nigeria where her worship is held, currently called the Niger River. She is a fire deity, like Xango, but she is also related to the air element, ruling lightning. She is one of the deities who, along with Ayrà and Afefe Ikú (the wind of death), dominates the winds. In this video lesson/show, some reinterpreted movements, characteristic of Iansã, were listed. The songs and the rhythms complete the composition of the movement's dramaturgy, since they originate from the cult. However, the construction of the project is based on a proposal for artistic staging, without a strict commitment to Afro-religious cults. The project proposes an easily accessible poetic narrative, to democratize Afro-diasporic culture, in this case the technique of Afro-Brazilian Dance, Candomblé music from various nations and their respective rhythms. Xirê Digital is a class/show constructed step by step, explaining the dramaturgy of the movement of each Orixá and the rhythmic condition intoned in the song and the beats. At the end of each class, an artistic representation of the Orixá that is the theme of the class is shared with the audience. The Xirê Digital project was awarded the Local Actions Award by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Rio de Janeiro, through the Aldir Blanc Law.
