Dernye in German is the village of Dornau in Vojvodina. Until 1945, a significant German minority lived in the village (30%, ~800 people). The parish was founded in 1804, the church was built in 1814 in honor of Saint Joseph. The church has three bells, of which the second bell may be original. Unfortunately, the eared crown of the second bell was mounted on a disc, and its tongue was also replaced. The church's 10 register Angster organ is in the Catholic church in Palic.
