On the Teleč plateau with the former star of the NBA draft about basketball and agriculture The story could have started like this: we are talking to Darko Miličić, who as an experienced NBA player in his prime will lead the Serbian national team at this year's European Championship. There would probably be spotlights around us, he would be wearing the national team's tracksuit and maybe he would tell us that he would replace the injured Teodosić as captain. But, the best placed Serbian in the history of the NBA draft has not played basketball for a long time. How he remembers the last European Championship where he played for the national team; it was ten years ago in Spain, Miličić was only 22 and the coach was Zoran Slavnić. And how about his championship in Novi Sad, the most unsuccessful that we remember. Does he regret not playing more for the national team? Darko Miličić is 30 years old today, he is largely retired from basketball and is one of the most successful farmers in Bačka. Between Sivac and Kljaićevo, on the Telečka plateau, he built his empire: he has 50 hectares of land under apple trees and an artificial lake with 10 thousand carp. In that environment, Dalibor Žarić talked with Darko Miličić about basketball and agriculture, about what success is, what failure is, and whether, in the end, he is a happy man. In Oko magazine, apart from the greatest basketball talent that Novi Sad has ever had, we also talk about four guys, who today best represent Novi Sad in basketball. Dušan Domović Bulut, Marko Ždero, Marko Savić, Dejan Majstorović are current world champions in the new Olympic sport: three-on-three basketball. In an interview for Oko magazine, they revealed the secret of their success to Aleksandar Stojanović.
