Dak To - Tan Canh is a solid military base at the division level of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam in the Northern Central Highlands. There are units here: Division 22, Brigade 2 Airborne, Ranger Group and tank, artillery, tactical air force units... In addition, there is support from B-52 of the United States. The battle of Dak To - Tan Canh is the key battle in the 1972 Northern Central Highlands Campaign of the Liberation Army, taking place from April 23 to 24, 1972 in Dak To district, Kon Tum province. In this campaign, the Liberation Army used T-54 medium tanks and AT-3 Sagger anti-tank missiles, causing much damage to the Army of the Republic of Vietnam.
