About :

We did a 3-day, 2-night traverse from Asahidake to Chubetsudake to Tomuratushi to Tomuratushi Hot Springs. Part 1: Asahidake to Chubetsudake to Hisagonuma Fork. Part 2: Hisagonuma Fork to Summit Tomuratushi to Tomuratushi Hot Springs. ●Transportation: From Asahikawa to the ropeway station, Asahikawa Electric Railway Bus Ideyu-go 1,450 yen, 1 hour 50 minutes. https://www.asahikawa-denkikidou.jp/a... Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway 2,000 yen one way, stops at wind speeds of around 16m/s, operation status updated at 6am. ps://asahidake.hokkaido.jp/ja/ Tomuratushi Hot Springs to Shintoku Station. Takushoku buses will no longer operate from mid-August. The inn will send you to the nearest Shintoku Station (70 minutes). Mobile phone reception (reference: Docomo) https://www.docomo.ne.jp/area/mountai... ●Dangerous areas Asahidake - Hisago Numa Branch There are no particularly dangerous areas, but the route is a dizzying array of pumice, sand, mud, boardwalks, crossing rough Japanese dwarf pines, and undergrowth. There are many places where the hiking trail will turn into a stream in rainy weather. Be sure to waterproof your shoes thoroughly. There are also very few shady or windproof areas. Windproof, sun protection, and sunglasses are necessary. My lips got chapped from sunburn. In storms, the wind hits your body directly, so be careful of hypothermia. A tent is a must. The storm at Asahidake made me shiver after 30 minutes at the 9th station (body temperature 35°C). It is easy to get lost on the way down from Asahidake, so be careful in rainy weather. If you go from Kanto, the temperature is 10 degrees Celsius different even in the city. I'm not used to the cold, so it would be good to use boiled water for tomorrow's activities at night as a hot water bottle. I'm making reservations for flights and accommodation, so I'm prone to wanting to walk that far today. There are more places where my cell phone is connected than I thought. I thought it was important to have the peace of mind that I can change my reservation if necessary. ● Water Boil everything before drinking as a countermeasure against echinococcus. Meals for 3 days for two people Boiled food, one can of Primus 250G gas can (about 70% used), and two solid fuels. ● I didn't see any brown bears. There is a bear information panel at the Sugatami Station of the ropeway. It seems that you can also check it on Facebook. I rang the bear bell loudly early in the morning when I left the Hakuundake campsite. ●Equipment Shared equipment Tent set 2501 cans of gas cans 2 solid fuels 2 gas burners 2 pots 1 mess tin Rice Dinner ingredients for 2 days Breakfast ingredients for 2 days Platypus 3 silver mat Personal equipment Portable toilet for 3 days Map, compass Sleeping bag Personal mat Poles Gloves Hat Sunglasses Cold weather clothing Raincoat Sandals Spare socks and underwear Clothes for after descending the mountain Medicine Headlamp Spare batteries Insect repellent Sunscreen Tableware Roll paper Bear bell Whistle Beer Things that were useful to have: Sunscreen Lipstick #Daisetsuzan #Tomuratushi #Daisetsuzan Tomuratushi traverse #Hokkaido mountain climbing #Hokkaido tent camping #Tomuratushi hot springs #Chubetsudake #Asahidake ropeway #
