I start the trail in Nowy Targ. The first minutes and the whole day are a fight with rain. I ride elegantly and the best drainage of the entire route to the border with Slovakia and then to the town of Trstena. It is a beautiful and pleasant route. Then the situation changes to the main road and I wander around the towns on the route. I decide to throw the main loop out of my plan and turn into a side branch towards Zuberec where I spend the night. The next day brings sun, climbs and wonderful views of the Tatras from the south. Passing subsequent towns I get closer and closer to the Tatra peaks. Route: Nowy Targ - Czarny Dunajec - Trstená - Podbiel - Zuberec (overnight stay) - Liptovský Mikuláš - Liptovský Hrádok - Kráľova Lehota - Štrba- Tatranská Štrba (overnight stay).
