The vast territory of 107 thousand hectares between the Sázava, the Vltava and the railway line Sedlčany – Olbramovice – Benešov was selected by the Germans as early as 1939 for the establishment of military training grounds for SS and Wehrmacht units. At the same time, the area was removed from the jurisdiction of the Böhmen und Möhren protectorate and the displaced estates turned into SS Hoffy. This training ground operated for only three years, but it marked the lives of hundreds of families, thousands of people and left an indelible mark on the landscape. "A lot has been written about its political and social impact on the region, but there was no work that would describe the history of the training area itself," says Ing. Petr Kos, author of the book and the subject of the movie Cvičiště Benešov ENTRY PROHIBITED!!. The book was published last year as part of the project Společné osudy, which was implemented by the companies Posázaví ops and Rakovnicko ops "It is important to remember the history of Neveklovsk, but not only its displacement. One forgets the other dark side of the matter – the army that came here then. I am aware that this subject is controversial, but it is also necessary, it will make people think. I wasn't about promoting Nazism, I was trying to give balanced information about one chapter of the history of the region," added Petr Kos.
