Kostas Mallios immigrated with his family to America when he was 9 years old, worked in the family pizzeria and at 25 found himself working at Microsoft. There, he stayed for 16 years, watching the company change completely. He attends the TED Conference every year and Burning Man, a festival of 70,000 people where money has absolutely no meaning and everyone is, approximately, equal. When he works, he travels constantly to meet his colleagues and be inspired. In his conversation with Markos Veremis, they talk about his current position as Corporate VP at Applied Materials, the new cold war that has broken out between China and the Western world, but also about the importance of chips for modern society.
