Coronary artery angiography - Coronary artery angiography is a method of diagnosing coronary artery disease. It differs from traditional diagnostic catheterization in that there is no need to insert a catheter into the body's arteries and connect it to the heart. CT scans require a powerful X-ray machine to take pictures of the heart during movement and may be used in early detection of coronary artery disease. To detect the presence of blocked arteries due to the deposition of fats and cholesterol, it is usually used in patients who have moderate risk factors for coronary artery disease. It is a good alternative to diagnostic catheterization, but it lacks the ability to treat, and we cannot, for example, expand the arteries or place stents through it.
