Mediating conflicts between students, parents, and teachers is a tool that helps to pacify and democratize schools. It also allows schools to offer education focused on developing social, emotional, and communication skills. As school psychologists, our practices must have respect for diversity and uniqueness as a guiding ethical principle (CFP, 2013). We need to create spaces for dialogue in which it is possible to strengthen a culture that values dialogue, respect, and collaboration.
