Color is a part of the light spectrum. It is vibratory energy that affects human beings in different ways depending on its wavelength, producing different sensations that we are generally not aware of. The most recent studies in color psychology (Eva Heller 207) show us how in our subconscious each color has a meaning to which we have linked a series of concepts and emotions. These associations are not made randomly or by personal taste, but by universal experiences, that is, by the direct experiences that we all share as humanity, and by the emotions produced by these experiences. There are also meanings given by the specific culture in which we live, the geographical location, the climate and the time, in addition to personal meanings according to the subjectivity of each individual. According to Eva Heller, in her study “How Colors Act on Feelings and Reason”, she presents some of the meanings and emotions associated with colors, which we present to you in this video.
