09-10 November 2024. We finally manage to return to ValGrande, organizing a two-day bivouac at In La Piana. We start from the Colloro reservoir and first go up the asphalt road (shortening from the Madonna di Lut) and then on the path that takes us past the Alpeggi La Piana, Motta and Stavelli, we reach the Bocchetta dell'usciolo already reached 3 years earlier in this period. But this time we go further, we enter Alta ValGrande retracing those paths and seeing those Alpeggi of work and fatigue loaded with animals until the 50s... What a thrill to pass through Quagiui, go back along the entire Val Gabbio and see the Alpe Borgo delle Valli and the legendary bridge over the Torrente Val Gabbio. After reaching In La Piana, the spectacular beating heart of ValGrande, where all the possible adjectives have already been used, we prepare to spend the night in the central bivouac. We are not alone: ​​in the other two bivouacs two other companies will spend the night. But we, under the moonlight, grill 😉 The second day we set off again, steep climb towards Alpe Colletta, passage through Alpe Serena and last wall before reaching La Colma with its beautiful bivouac and the extraordinary view of the Rosa (on one side) and Pedum (on the other). The time has come to leave ValGrande and as always we will carry with us in our hearts the peace and beauty experienced in this fantastic valley.
