We will explore its origin, the symbolism of the Archangel Michael, and the political goals that led to numerous reprehensible acts. 2️⃣ Corneliu Zelea Codreanu – The Leader and His Assassinations ???????? We tell the story of Corneliu Zelea Codreanu's childhood and upbringing in Huși and his political rise in Iași. The first political assassination: the prefect of Iași in 1924 – an event that consolidated his status in the movement. 3️⃣ Râmnicu Sărat Prison – The bastion of political prisoners ???? In 1938, Corneliu Zelea Codreanu and other legionary leaders were brought to this prison for strict supervision. How this place became the scene of dramatic historical events. 4️⃣ The executions on the night of November 29-30, 1938 ⚰️ 14 legionary leaders, including Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, were transported from Râmnicu Sărat and executed near the town of Tâncăbești. Those executed were buried at Jilava Prison. 5️⃣ The Legionnaires' Revenge and the Assassination of Armand Călinescu ????️???? A year later, in 1939, the Legionnaires assassinated the Romanian Prime Minister, Armand Călinescu, and claimed responsibility live on the radio. We learn about the royal reprisals and how the immediate execution of the responsible Legionnaires was ordered. 6️⃣ The National Legionary State and the Attempt to Transform the Prison into a Memorial ????️ In 1940, under the leadership of Marshal Ion Antonescu, the Legionnaire Movement attempted to transform the prison into a museum dedicated to its leaders. The plan was abandoned after the Legionnaire Rebellion of January 1941, when Antonescu removed the movement from power. ????
