Civic-Military Parade: 213 Years of the Cry of Independence. Saturday, September 16, 2023 President AMLO. In the Zócalo of Mexico City, we led the Civic-Military Parade for the 213th Anniversary of the Cry of Independence of Mexico and the bicentennial of the Heroic Military College. The members of the Armed Forces once again demonstrated to the people of Mexico their dedication, discipline, and professionalism in favor of the nation. As a sign of recognition and in honor of the 200 years since the creation of the Heroic Military College, nine Mexican Air Force planes painted the sky of the Plaza de la Constitución with white smoke. Accompanied by members of the Legal and Expanded Cabinet, we witnessed the largest rifle salute executed by 1,548 cadets of the Heroic Military College, who exclaimed the institutional exhortation in the midst of a crimson-colored salute. The event was attended by 33 war flags, 13,805 members of the Army, Air Force, Navy and National Guard; 19 foreign delegations, 94 charros and civilians, 455 land vehicles, 85 aircraft, 10 boats, 434 horses, 157 dogs and 36 eagles and falcons. As part of Mexico's close cooperation and good international relations, military delegations from allied countries such as El Salvador, Ecuador, Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Panama, Nicaragua, Nepal, Guatemala, Honduras, Russia, Dominican Republic, South Korea, Brazil, Belize, Uruguay, Venezuela, Sri Lanka and China joined in.
