To be more precise, the four-axle FAW J6 dump trucks can be compared with the KAMAZ 65201. This 8x4 dump truck has almost identical characteristics as the cargo dump truck from China. According to some subscribers, Chinese dump trucks are superior to KAMAZ in comfort and reliability, but the Chinese dump truck is inferior to domestic vehicles in terms of availability of spare parts and maintainability. If you study the statistics, the main competitor of this machine is the Shakhman trucks. Chinese trucks of this brand were the leaders in sales in 2019. Of course, European manufacturers Scania, Volvo and MAN also have four-axle dump trucks, but comparing new dump trucks from the Chinese state-owned automobile company with European brands is not entirely correct. Many may disagree with me, because a dump truck also has wheels, a cabin and a body, and in principle they will be right. But for some reason, people forget how much a Chinese dump truck costs. On my own behalf, I would add that Chinese trucks have stepped far forward. A Chinese truck no longer causes rejection as it did 7-10 years ago. When choosing to buy a KamAZ or Chinese dump truck, the client does not always make a choice in favor of the domestic auto industry; more and more often, Chinese dump trucks are preferable. According to my subscribers, at the same price, FAW trucks are of better quality. And the shortcomings are taken into account in a timely manner and FAW dump trucks become better from batch to batch. New KAMAZ dump trucks are essentially assembled from Chinese components. Therefore, the quality is very similar. Domestic dump trucks win due to subsidies and recycling fees. Today, the FAW dump truck customer is forced to pay almost a million rubles to the state treasury in the form of a tax. If we cancel the recycling fee, then Chinese dump trucks will be the favorites in our market, the Russian buyer will have no questions about what to buy: a Chinese dump truck or a domestically produced truck. Which is actually sad. We have been using electronics and household appliances from China for many years without much fear, apparently a Chinese truck is next in line.
